My Daily Coffee with God: Working VS Walking with God

My children and brothers and sisters in Christ being a Christian does not mean working for Christ. I hear this all the time. I even catch myself saying it when my dog, Bud, wants an affectionate pat on the head or rubbing his back, I found myself telling him to leave me alone so I can do God's work. I would get annoyed at my wife because she asked me for help to get her off to work. It is then that I realize how wrong I am. Of course, we are to spread the "Good News" of mercy, grace, and forgiveness but we do this out of joy. Nowhere in the bible does it say "work for God", but it does say to walk with God. Jesus even says to walk with Him and He will give you rest for your souls.
