Looking Forward to the Day

Looking Forward to the Day

I pray that you start every day with God. I chose to read daily devotions from Our Daily Bread or other sources. Today's devotion is titled “Looking Forward to the Day," John Michalak wrote this devotion. The scripture reading is from Revelation 22:20-21. The key verse is, “He who testifies these things says ‘Yes, I come quickly.’”, Revelation 22:20. My beloved children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ; before I write, I first pray to God to guide my words to serve as spiritual food and guidance. I desire God to be my sole source of writing. All the credit goes to God, not me. I am his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Inspirations to inspire comments and witnessing.

Reflect:

How often do you think about Christ’s return? Do you hope He comes quickly? Do you wish He waits till you finish some things here on Earth?

My Comments to You:

I think about Christ’s return all the time. I do hope and sometimes pray that He comes quickly. I mourn the sin and death outside me and within. Christ’s return. However, I will remember to light my candles in the darkness of this world and look forward with hope for Christ’s return.

According to John Michalak, everything is falling apart. More terrorist attacks, more violence, more posturing politicians, and more wars. He asked how we can live in the world of suffering. He admits that he continues to in his sins.

I can relate to all he is saying. I continue to struggle in my sins. These sins just won’t go away. I have seen victory and have been transformed. But then I take two steps back. Some sins just won’t leave you alone. Who can rescue us from our bodies of death? “Come, Lord Jesus, Come” Revelation 22:20

My Prayer for Us:

Dear Heavenly savior, Your grace is all we need. Heaven is our home. Thank You, Lord< for preparing a place for us. Thank you for considering us important enough to want to share eternity with us. Our souls cry out for You. Come. I Jesus’ perfect, precious name, I pray. Amen
