My Daily Coffee with God: Release from Prison

My children and brothers and sisters in Christ, when I read about Joseph and what happened to him because of jealousy I wonder if I would have been so forgiving. I wonder if I would have seen God's hand at work, especially if I would have been betrayed and sent to prison. I watched TV shows about people who were falsely accused and imprisoned but later found to be innocent. Most of them had forgiving hearts and held no grudge. I know that I have been in emotional prison for most of my life over things people have accused me and as well as things that happened. When I look at Joseph and his dialogue with his brothers and how Jesus showed so much forgiveness, I know I still have a long way to go. With God's help, I will let go of my animosities against those who have hurt me and break away from my emotional prison. If you are holding grudges, go to God to help you be free of your "prison" and look beyond what is in front of you and see the big picture of how God is working.
