My brothers and sisters in Christ, you have often made bad choices or gotten into trouble with your parents. You try to hide what you did by denying it. However, unknown to you your parents already know and they are trying to get you to admit your guilt. Your parent would even tell you that if you will not own up to what you did, the consequences would be worst. Eventually, you do admit your guilt and all is forgiven, but there might be some consequences. God works the same way, in order to have a full relationship with Him we have to admit that we are not perfect and without sin. If we deny that we make bad choices and fall into sin, the consequences are eternal death and we have no fellowship with God. However, God is our heavenly parent and wants an honest relationship with us. He sent his only son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sins. As a result, we can have fellowship with God. Every time we do "slip" we can go to our Heavenly Father, confess our sin(s), be forgiven, and have our relationship restored.
