My brothers and sisters in Christ, we are still recovering from our daughter's attempted suicide. You see, she got pregnant and decided to get an abortion. After the abortion, she felt so bad about it that she decided to take her own life. She tried to hang herself, but our son found her and performed CPR. When the paramedics arrived and took her to the nearest emergency hospital, she had major brain damage. she is alive but is in a semi vegetable state. She is fed VIA G-tube and wears diapers. I reflect back every time I see her and I asked myself, "If only I would have stayed home, I would have talked her out of the abortion". My son, her twin brother probably asked: "If only I had gotten to her sooner, she would have had a full recovery." My wife probably says "If only I would have checked on her, I could have talked her out of trying to take her life." There were a lot of "If Only". My son like the rest of us doesn't understand why God allowed this to happen. We don't understand how this could have been God's plan for her and what purpose He had in mind for this. My wife and I found comfort in The Lord through prayer and the overwhelming support from friends and strangers. Her attempted suicide went viral among Christians worldwide. She had visitors from every corner of the planet. We have seen slow, but steady improvement in her condition. We don't know who "this story" will end, but we have placed her and us in God's hand because we know through faith that God is with us on this journey until it comes to an end.
