Doing God's Will in Faith

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, this devotion studied Abraham. It talked about how he left a land of plenty and permanent housing. On the word of God, Abraham, his family and Lot's family left all that behind and became a nomad in a foreign country living in tents. He did all this on faith, faith in God's promise that He will make of him a great nation (Gen. 12:1-2) and give the land that he moved to to him and his descendants. The issue here is about Abraham's faith in God's promises. Although he never saw any of God's promises, he kept his faith that God would keep His word. You as Christians will be called to do God's work. It might include leaving the comforts of your home or maybe your comfort zone. Whatever the case, you can be certain that God will keep his promise of a better world for all of Christians. There will be a new Heaven and Earth, and we will enjoy the benefits of being His children and heirs to His kingdom. Obey God's calling and do His works.
