Facing Trials

My beloved brothers and sisters in Chris, when I read today's devotion, it brought to mind the trials that my wife and I faced as parents. Our daughter attempted suicide and our son was arrested for a DUI. Both of these were tragedies and challenges. At the time, we did not understand why this happened to us. In retrospect, we come to understand that God is in control and He turned these two crises into a blessing and learning experience. It made our faith in God stronger and due to our experiences we are able to help others who are going through the same crisis. My children, you might have to face crises in your lives. My advice to you is to keep your hope and faith in God strong and unwavering because He will see you through it.
