Love One Another

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, the sermon my wife and I heard today was the five traits of a Church. There are Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, Ministry, and Worship. Jesus told his disciples in The Book of John that he longer called them servants, but his friends. He also said that He loved them as His Father loved Him. Then Jesus commanded them to love one another just as He love them (John 15:12). Jesus is not making a command to love one another for Him to love us. Jesus is saying in the Spirit of our God, we love our King , and one another, because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). The Apostle Paul gave us traits of a Christian, but above all of those characteristics, was to love one another. This means the ones who do not "fit in". If hurting, rejected people can find loving refuge, comfort, and forgiveness in Jesus, they should expect no less from the church and us.
