Serving God Verses Serving the World

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, serving God is our purpose on Earth. There are many ways that you serve God. Some examples are helping and witnessing to others, giving your time to assist in church activities, doing the best you can on your job. As humans, we want praise and affirmation for our efforts. However, it might not come. Do not be discouraged, God sees and knows everything you do. Any praises and rewards you get from this world will perish, but rewards and praises you get from God are eternal. What I do is I start off my day saying "In Jesus name I .........". This keeps me focus on serving God and only be interested in what He

thinks, than what the world thinks. Our household verse is from Joshua 24:15, "As for me and my house, we will serve The Lord."
