The New Year

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, we are at the end of the year and approaching a new year. I remember my grandmother, the very moment the year came; she was on her knees praying. I do not know what exactly her prayer(s) was about, but like the author of this devotion, she might have reflected on the happy and the sorrowful times. The one thing she did know is that God's faithfulness never waivered. This year I will renew that tradition of "praying in" the new year. We will thank God for His faithfulness as my wife, and I reflect on our times this past year. We will pray that he will guide our paths in everything we do this coming year. One thing we know is that God was with us in the past year and He will be with us in the new year.
