A New Start

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, after the New Year celebration, my wife and I went to bed. We did not go to sleep; we talked about the past year and what lies ahead in the new year. Last night we reviewed a devotion and once again spoke about events in our past lives. One thing that came out was how we reacted to our daughter. We both felt guilt and remorse how things turned out for her. I specifically confessed a sin that I committed out of hatred and pride. I asked for God's forgiveness. I immediately felt a load lifted from me. My wife and I know we can start the new year with new hope and a clean slate.
