My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, All that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. Have you heard the saying, "You should choose your battles, wisely"? There is truth to that saying. Take the story of Lot and Abram. God told Abram to leave his home and go to the land that God had promised him, and Lot went with him. When they arrived at the land, Lot's family and Abram's starting quarreling over the limited resources. Abram decided that they need to separate. Lot saw the lush plain of the Jordan and took it.You know the rest of the story. Abram took what was left and gained the promised land. Lot lost everything. Abram, by right, could have driven Lot away, but he chose to share and received the blessings. This is what the Bible calls “meekness”—not weakness. Strength under God’s control.
