Words of Comfort and Encouragement

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, All that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. As I read this devotion, I was convicted of my shortcomings in words of encouragement. As a husband, I get frustrated with my wife. As a Teacher, I become frustrated with the children who starve for compassion, nurturing, and love. During those times, my words are contrary to God's will. I am sure some of you have been in this situation. Together we can turn to our Lord and Savior, and The Holy Spirit change our attitudes and show compassion to others who are in need. I am using this prayer from Our Daily Bread Ministries, "Lord, use us today to bring someone hope, a lighter burden, encouragement" (Cetas, 2018).
