Your Preferences or God's Way?

My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, All that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this passage is that we do not like advice that does not fit into our desires or plans. Some people may go as far as to find someone who will tell them what they want to hear. Either way, it is a wrong decision and will lead to disaster (as was the case with King Ahab). What we can do is to seek and listen to the voice of truth, God’s words in the Bible, even when it contradicts our personal preferences.
