I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "When One Hurts, All Hurt." The scripture is from 1 Corinthians 12:14–26 with key verse being "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it." 1 Corinthians 12:26. Linda Washington wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, All that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this passage is that as members of Christ's church, we have to look out for each other. Paul uses the analogy of physical body parts to explain the church body. If any part of our physical body is hurting, affects all our body. The same is true of the church. If one member of the church is hurting, (emotionally, spiritually, and physically), the church body suffers. Likewise, when all is well, every church member rejoices.
