Storms

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Learning to Know God." The scripture is from John 6:16–21 with key verse being "But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.'" John 6:20. Karen Wolfe wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this passage is that life is unpredictable as the sea mentioned in John 6:16-21. You will have smooth sailing; then without warning, your calm seas turn into a storm. When this happens, you can count on Jesus to walk into your life and say, "It is I, don't be afraid.", John 6:20.
