I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Judging Origins" The scripture is from Judges 11:1–8, 29 with key verse being "The Spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah." Judges 11:29. Tim Gustafson wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this passage is that we never judge a person by their race, gender, ethnic, religious, or family background. God does not. Throughout the Bible, God has used people who are considered "inferior" to accomplish His works. God looks at the heart, and through faith, those who are considered inferior accomplished great things for God. The proud and mighty have a fallen before him. We are in horrific times with our present leader if you are any person of color. Our current President campaign ran, and he won on a racial and religious bias platform. You have nothing to fear, In the end, Many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first. Matthew 19:30.
