Patience

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "The Waiting Place" The scripture is from Psalm 70 with key verse being "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him." Psalm 37:7. David H. Roper wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this passage is that we get to the point that we have no choice but to wait for God's deliverance. I remember when I was terminated from a job because of my dishonesty. I knew that I knew unemployment insurance was impossible. Like David, I cried out to The Lord. I confessed my sin and asked forgiveness and restoration. God answered my prayers and led me to a better job.
