We Are Created to Love

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Longing for God" The scripture is from 1 John 4:13–16 with key verse being "My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:2. James Banks wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this passage is that we are created in the image of God. The image of God is love. Since we are created in God's image, we are created to love. If we love one, another God dwells in us and we in Him.
