I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Even If" The scripture is from Daniel 3:8–18 with key verse being "The God we serve can deliver us from [the fire] . . . . But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods" Daniel 3:17–18. Alyson Kieda wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. Every time I read the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, I am "fired up." Their unwavering faith is an example for all Christians to follow. These men are real heroes of the faith. None of us can predict if we will ever face a trial like theirs, but the time will come when things will not go as we want. The question we have to answer is even if God does not come through as we wish, will we remain faithful and cling to God. Will you? I will because He is perfect in all things.
