Another Chance

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Up a Tree" The scripture is from Jonah 2:1–10 with key verse being "In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me" Jonah 2:2. Elisa Morgan wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I read the story of Jonah and the great fish many times. I am still fascinated how God dealt with Jonah. Jonah disobeyed God and try to flee from Him. God created the storm and Jonah was tossed overboard. He could have left him to die, but saved him and gave him another chance. Jonah obeyed God, and the Ninevites repented. There is no place we can hide from God. There is no end to His love and mercy he is willing to lavish on us. God invites us to contemplate the depths of His love and mercy.
