I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Accidental Wisdom" The scripture is from Philippians 4:4–9 with key verse being "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable . . . think about such things" Philippians 4:8. Randy Kilgore wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. There is a lot of things to pollute our minds and to trick us into believing that this is the new norm. Paul had a different norm for living. He instructed the church in Philippi to focus on "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable . . . think about such things", Philippians 4:8. Making careful decisions about what fills our minds is an excellent way to honor God and guard our hearts as well.
