I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Gazing at the Horizon" The scripture is from Hebrews 11:8–16 with key verse being "We are looking for the city that is to come" Hebrews 13:14. Keila Ochoa wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. It appears that our beloved authors are sensing that people have become more anxious about world events. Our authors are writing about focusing on life to come. This devotion is no different, just another perspective. The author instructs us to spend less time focusing on matters on Earth but to focus on the promises God has made about our home in Heaven. Our present troubles are temporary. We are “foreigners and strangers on earth”, but gazing at the horizon of God’s promises provides the point of reference we need.
