I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Interrupted Fellowship" The scripture is from Matthew 27:32–50 with key verse being "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Matthew 27:46. Dave Branon wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I often wondered what it was like to witness the crucifixion of Christ. Especially after you saw all the miracles, He performed. Why did He allow this to happen to Him? Why did God desert him? The answer is simple; Christ loves us. Separation was the only way to bring salvation to us. It was because Jesus was willing to experience this sense of being forsaken on the cross that we humans can gain fellowship with God.
