How To Do with Criticism

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Quieting the Critic" The scripture is from Nehemiah 4:1–6 with key verse being "Hear us, our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads" Nehemiah 4:4. Kirsten Holmberg wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I am not very accepting of criticism, because of my pride. I took it as a threat to me. I now know that my attitude is wrong and ungodly. Jesus taught all of us to pray for those who abuse us and to bless those who curse us. I will strive to do as Jesus instructed.
