Faithful Witness

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Living Out Loud" The scripture is from 1 Peter 3:8–16 with key verse being "In your hearts revere Christ as Lord" 1 Peter 3:15. David C. McCasland wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. From what I learned from New Testament history, it was hazardous and deadly to be a Christian. It meant having your possessions and property taken away and executed violently. Peter encouraged his followers to "Live Out Loud" for Christin hope. Christians today face the same circumstances as back in Peter's time. We, no matter where we live or work, in God’s strength live out our faith today, always ready to reply gently and respectfully to everyone who asks the reason for our hope.
