Outward Appearance VS Inward Beauty

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Hidden Beauty" The scripture is from 1 Samuel 16:1–7 with key verse being "People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" 1 Samuel 16:7. Lisa Samra wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. July 4th. was the United States Independence Day. It should have been a time of celebration and joy, but instead I felt nothing. Since Trump's election, there are lies, briberies, hatred, and discrimination, all because our president and his followers look at the outward appearance of people instead of their hearts. Our country is more divided than ever before. Our President has turned completely away from God and relies solely on his own understanding. Let's not follow the example of our present leaders, and ask God to help us to see the inner beauty in others. God bless all of you.
