I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Strangers Welcome Strangers” The scripture is from Leviticus 19:1–9, 33–34 with key verse being “When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. . . . Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt” Leviticus 19:33–34. Amy Peterson wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What the author is talking about is something we as a country need to apply. Unless you are a Native Indian, we are all foreigners in this country. As Christians, we are foreigners on this earth. While here, must set the example of welcoming foreigners whether from another country or someone new in our neighborhood or church family. Extending welcome to others is the heart of being the family of God.

May God bless all of you.
