God Needs No Cosigner

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “No Co-Signer Required” The scripture is from Hebrews 6:13–20 with key verse being “People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said” Hebrews 6:16. Kirsten Holmberg wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. In our world, promises are made and broken, by our friends, relatives, politicians, governments, and financial institutions. There one thing for sure; when God makes a promise, it is "a done deal." Since He is the Creator of all that exists, there is no one greater than; only God could guarantee His promise. He promises to be with us always, to hold us securely, and to comfort us, we can trust Him to keep to His word.

Lord, thank You for being so trustworthy. We need no other promises but Your word. Help us to trust You more and more each day.
