I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Through the Cross” The scripture is from 2 Corinthians 4:8–18 with key verse being “[Nothing] will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:39. Anne Cetas wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I look at this devotion to encourage us not to be despondent. Things are scary and will get worst. As Christians, we remind ourselves and others that this world is not our home. If we compare time to a grain of sand, our time on Earth is not one-millionth of a grain of sand, as compared to eternity. We are going home to be with The Lord and live an eternity with Him in Heaven. No walls, lawyers, Presidents, Supreme Court Justices, or Russians can change our destination. We need to keep praying for those lost. They think their money, political influences, and power will give them everything. They are blind to what awaits them.
Dear Lord, I thank You for heaven, our eternal home.
May God continue to bless, protect, and guide you.
