I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Watchful Care” The scripture is from Jeremiah 23:20–24 with key verse being “'Do not I fill heaven and earth?'” declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:24. Lisa Samra wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. This devotion is for encouragement, but gives a warning, also. God is telling the Christians that He has His eyes on us. He knows all about us and is constantly with us. We run to Him for refuge for “the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). The warning to those whose hearts are not fully committed to him, they will stand before God and account for all their actions. We can not fool ourselves into thinking we are outside the sight of God. He is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
Lord Jesus, thank You that there is nowhere we can go that is outside of Your loving gaze. Knowing You see us, help us to honor You with our words and actions.
May God bless you and have a great day.
