I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Unselfish Service” The scripture is from Isaiah 58:6–12 with key verse being “If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness” Isaiah 58:10. Randy Kilgore wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. How many of you have looked on the homeless and did nothing or pretend they are not there? How about those commercials asking to give a small amount of money a month to aid a cause? All of us experienced these situations. The question is, what did you do about it? God made it clear that everybody is our neighbor and we need to show mercy and love and help. We can not help the entire world. That is too overwhelming, but we can help a small part of it.

Thank You, Father, for the acts of others You use to lift us up, and for calling us to do the same.

May God bless you and have a great day.
