I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Healing Flood” The scripture is from Psalm 107:1–16, 35–36 with key verse being “He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs” Psalm 107:35. Monica Brands wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I am from the Mid-West. The weather can change dramatically in an instant. Like Monica, I remember watching the storms come across the plains. When they hit, booming thunder and buckets of heavy rain pound the dried and parched ground, giving well need life-giving rain. There are times when we all feel spiritually parched and in need of God's spiritual life refreshing downpour. It’s never too late to bring our fears and shame to the One who’s more than willing to flood our darkness with His light.
Father, help us turn to You with our burdens, trusting Your love and power to write a new story of healing and transformation.
May God bless you and have a great day.
