I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “To My Dear Friend” The scripture is from 3 John with key verse being “The elder, to my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth” 3 John 1. Dave Branon wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I remember writing letters. I was not very good. When I was young, I had little time for letters. We always received handwritten letters or cards from an old woman we called Mom Byrd. They were filled with encouragement and love. I replied by typing a letter to her. I never took the time to realize how valuable of a handwritten letter until now. When we correspond to others, make sure to tell them that you love them in Christ, and encourage to keep The Faith. Paul and John were brilliant writers. God has left their letters as examples for us to follow.

Lord, help us know how to encourage others who need a spiritual boost from us.

May God bless you and have a great day.
