I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “A Good Daddy" The scripture is from Psalm 63 with key verse being “On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night” Psalm 63:6. Xochitl Dixon wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. My Dad and Mom separated when I was young. My Mom remarried, her new husband became the only "Father" figure I known. He was kind to my mother and us. Later, I reconnected with my biological Dad, and I have good memories of the times we spent together. However, I come to realize that I have a Heavenly Father who never left me nor forsaken me. I called to Him many times in my life during bad times and praised Him in good times. I want everyone to know Him through my personal experiences, and His actions recorded in Scripture can affirm the countless ways our good Abba Father loves us.
Lord, thanks for demonstrating Your endless love to us, in our lives and through the words You preserved in Scripture.
May God bless you and as He blessed us.
