I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, www.odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “The Gift of Time" The scripture is from Luke 6:37–38 with the key the verse, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed” Proverbs 11:25. James Banks wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. Time is a precious commodity. God, in his wisdom, allotted a specific amount of time for everyone. The purpose is to serve Him. Our daughter tried to end her life, but God decided her time on Earth was not over. Even in her condition, she has united Christians across countries in prayer and ministry. My wife and I know time is brief for us. We have decided to devote our lives to learning about God and how we can serve Him. We hope you will do the same.
Heavenly Father, all of the time we have is in Your hands, a gift from You. Please show us how to use it to bring glory and honor to You.
May God bless you and as He blessed us.
