I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “In Progress or Completed?" The scripture is from Hebrews 10:5–14 with the key verse, “For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy” Hebrews 10:14. Adam Holz wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this devotion is we are a work in progress when it comes to being a Christian. When we trusted Jesus to be our savior, his sacrifice for us is complete. However, living it out in this life is still a work in progress to be transformed into His likeness.
Jesus, thank You for giving Your life for us. Help us trust You as we grow into followers whose lives look more and more like Yours, knowing that You are the one who makes us complete.
May God bless you and as He blessed us.
