Build Your Relationship with Christ on a Solid foundation.

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “The House on the Rock" The scripture is from Luke 6:46–49 with the key verse, “When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built” Luke 6:48. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. What I understand from this devotion is that hearing The Lord's word is not enough. You have to live by His word in every way. In doing, you have a solid foundation of faith that will carry you through the hard times. Take time to strengthen your foundation and love for Him through reading the Bible, praying, and learning from other Christians.

Lord God, we want to build our house on a rock. Help us to know that our solid foundation rests in You, with Your Word giving us wisdom and strength.
