I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Officer Miglio’s Heart" The scripture is from Matthew 18:1–10 with the key verse, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven” Matthew 18:10. Tim Gustafson wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. For me, children are a blessing from God. The sad part, they can not choose their parent. As a teacher and parent, I learned so much through children. They have faith without question and unconditional love. How anyone can mistreat them is beyond me. We all lose patience at times, but it is not the child's fault, they do not know better. We have to look deeper into what is going on with them. Sometimes it is hunger, domestic violence, or child abuse. God's warning is two-fold. Whoever causes one of these little ones to sin, it better to drown in the sea. Each of these small children has angels watching over them, who are also in the presence of God. If you want to learn how to trust and love unconditionally, take lessons from a child. We have to love and trust God as children, and He loves us as one of his children.

Remind us always, Lord, to love children as You love them, even as we come to You with the trusting faith of a small child.

God bless and keep you.
