I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Building Bridges" The scripture is from John 4:7–14, 39–42 with the key verse, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” Galatians 3:28. Lawrence Darmani wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I grew up in Missouri which join the Union as a slave state (Missouri Compromise). Many people and I were considered inferior and discriminated against. That mindset never went away. Now we have an administration who supports this ungodly ideology. Jesus made it clear that it is against the will of God, and we as Christians are mandated to fight against discrimination. Jesus Christ showed us how as He brought the gospel to the Samaritans. Let's follow Jesus's example and build bridges and not walls.
Lord, thank You for teaching us not to discriminate among people. Help us to see people through Your eyes so that we may honor You.
God bless and keep you.
