What's Engraved on Your Hands?

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Engraved on His Hands" The scripture is from Isaiah 49:14–18 with the key verse, "See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands” Isaiah 49:16. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I learned from this devotion the relationship between what God said to Judea in Isaiah 49:16 and Christ outstretched arms on the cross and nails driven through His hands. As the Lord promised to engrave His people on His palms, Isaiah 49:16, so Jesus stretched out His arms on the cross, receiving the nails in His hands so we could be free of our sins.

Lord God, how vast is Your love for us! You keep us ever before You. We know You’ll never leave us, and we're grateful.
