I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “The Blessing of Encouragers" The scripture is from Acts 9:26–31 with the key verse, "But Barnabas took [Saul] and brought him to the apostles” Acts 9:27. Lisa Samra wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. One of the most important roles as Christians is an encourager. We need to gather together to receive and give support and encouragement to each other. How important is encouragement? Barnabas was Paul's encourager. As a result, the great theologian Paul wrote thirteen books of the New Testament, and John Mark, who wrote the gospel of Mark. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior through encouragement from my wife and a friend, Mario. I and my wife, in turn, introduced others to Christ. Whom can you encourage?
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for bringing people into our lives who encourage us to become Children of God.
May God bless you and lead you to be someone's encourager.
