I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Asking God First" The scripture is from Psalm 37:3–7, 23–24 with the key verse, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:4. Leslie Koh wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, and brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Our God is merciful and loving. He cares for all of us, even though we rebelled against him constantly. This story is an example of how God cares for the poor and downtrodden. Let this devotion inspire us to seek ways to help others in our community and as a means of expressing our thanks to our loving and giving God.
Jesus, You desire that no one would go hungry. Open our eyes to the ways we can help those in need. May we share Your love, for Your glory.
God bless you.
