I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Singing to the Firing Squad” The scripture is from Mark 14:16–26 with the key verse, “I trusted in the Lord when I said, 'I am greatly afflicted.'” Psalm 116:10. Amy Peterson wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. The story about the convicts facing execution singing Hymns was touching. Singing is always a way to face fears. I sing praise hymns when I a stressed., so did Jesus, Paul and Silas, and many others. It is great to know that God is with us through any circumstances.

God, strengthen our faith in You so that when we face trials or even approach death, we can sing with confidence about Your love.

May God bless you and strengthen your faith.
