I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Hard Conversations” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from 1 Samuel 25:21–35 with the key verse, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12:18. Lisa Samra wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. The roles for Christians are many. One of the most difficult roles is having hard conversations with people. What is a hard conversation? It is to confront someone and persuade them that their actions could harm others and compromise their future effectiveness for God. No one likes being "the bad guy" or confrontations, but at times it is necessary. If God is calling you for a hard conversation, pray and get on with it!
Dear God, please help us know when to lovingly confront others.
My God bless and help you know when to lovingly confront others.
