God's Extra Ministry

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “A Hidden Ministry” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from 2 Corinthians 1:8–11 with the key verse, “On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers.” 2 Corinthians 1:10–11. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. There is a special ministry called the ministry of intercession. God puts someone on your heart and mind for whom you can pray. We pray on behalf of someone we know or strangers. When God answers our prayers, He would be glorified as we give Him thanks for the “answer to the prayers of many” (v. 11).

Heavenly Father we ask that you put someone on our hearts and minds for whom we can pray for.
