I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “A Constant Helper” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from John 14:15–26 with the key verse, “[The Holy Spirit] will remind you of everything I have said to you.” John 14:26. Jennifer Benson Schuldt wrote this devotion. My brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. When Christ spent His last days with His disciples, he informed them that He will leave them, but He will see them again. He told them that they will not be alone. He promised the Holy Spirit will be with them to remind them of everything he taught them. As Christians, we have the same promise. Jesus said, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him." John 14:23.
Dear God, thank You for the ongoing support available through the Holy Spirit. Help us to rely on Your Spirit when we need help.
May God bless, and the Holy Spirit help you.
