Acknowledge God in Every Part of Your Life

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “God Is Here” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Hosea 6:1–6 with the key verse, “Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him.” Hosea 6:3. Lisa Samra wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. We think of discharging religious obligations through sacrifice and offering. When religion becomes preoccupied with the niceties of the liturgy, the nuances, the novelties of music, art, and architecture, but forget our neighbor, then religion has been reduced to cultic. God does not demand sacrifices or anything of the sorts. He wants us to acknowledge His presence in our lives.

Lord Jesus, please forgive us for the times we are prone to forget You. Help us to acknowledge Your presence in our lives.
