I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Lonely Christmas” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Psalm 25:14–22 with the key verse, “My eyes are ever on the Lord.” Psalm 25:15. Lawrence Darmani wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. We all experience loneliness at times, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. The reasons for separation from families and friends are numerous from a soldier on duty to family squabbles. No matter the reasons or type of separation, it hurts. There is a solution, turn to God to fill the loneliness. As a result, He will help you to reach out to others.

Lord, thank You that with You I’m not alone even in my times of loneliness. This Christmas, help me to enjoy my fellowship with You and to reach out to others.

May God bless you and help you through your loneliness.
