Do You Want A Home Prepared by Jesus?

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Home” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from John 14:1-6 with the key verse, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” John 14:2 NKJV. Dave Branon wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Through all the excitement about Christmas, I believe Dave Brannon is refocusing us on Jesus. Jesus told his disciples there is plenty of room for all believers. When Jesus arose and ascended to Heaven, He is preparing places for all who believe in Him. I feel that we are being reminded to praise God for giving us life “to the full” (John 10:10), including His presence with us now and later in the place He is preparing for us (14:3). We are challenged to introduce Jesus to others.

Lord, while we anticipate the home You’re preparing for us, may we tell others they too can enjoy forever the home You’re preparing for all who believe in Jesus.
